last week i took infopass and got shedule for biometric , i am also july 2nd filler and had not receive appointment until last week.
my appointment actually at 28th may 2008 but yesterday i went to asc and told them i will be leaving usa next week and request to take biometric fineally i am able to get biometric yesterday.
but i have to pay $25 for him doing my fevour because with out that he isnot willing to do so.
there is no lud today on my i-485 so could you please tell me how long it take to get lud ?
how long it take to clear fbi?
what is soft lud and hard lud ?
my pd is current so will i soon see my i-485 processing ?

1) Contacted Senator/Congressman/Governor - No reply or progress
2) Filled 7001 form for Ombudsman - waiting for reply
3) Called USCIS 10 times in last 10 days and come to know that everything is cleared on my and wife applications. - everytime they tell someting diffrenet .
its shows how USCIS work ... as if everything is cleared our 485 should be cleared .

The point is not that tri-state was crooked etc. The point is, they got the cash because they made themselves known as an entity that does some service

This is the latest USCIS scheme (read SCAM)!!
Accept everything but issue notices at a snail's pace citing the "fee increase" as the reason for "front log" (btw what the heck is a FRONT LOG???)
Until you dont receive the notices you cant avail of the benefits anyways. In the meantime, without any notice they change processing times and take away interim benefits as they see fit.
Correct me if i am wrong but is the situation improving or getting worse?

I am in exact same situation too. The notice date for EAD renewal is July 7th, 2008. I-485 pending at NSC and EAD applied at TSC. Still waiting. I am current as my PD is EB-2 India 9/2004.
Same with me. 485 pending at NSC, EAD pending at TSC - as per instructions in I765. NO Luds, just silence.

I will also suggest guys waiting with their PD current to write to the USCIS Director in DC. I did that; not sure if that worked in my case, but one needs to explore every way of bringing their case to the attention of the management.

I believe, the family quota is not very farbehind. Defiantly not 4 years.
Even if it is 4 years. She has EAD and AP to hold on to. Instead of both being stuckup it would be better atleast one reaches shore immediately.

How do you know that people with more recent priority dates are getting approved and you have been left out? You know this because these members of IV share this info with you and you are talking about using this info against them.
I won't be surprised if this will discourage people to just silently leave the forum after getting approvals.

We all morons and still wont learn, we will still start predicting for next visa bulletin hoping that a reincarnation of god will come and deliver us visa numbers.
Unless we all make a collective effort no one is going to listen to us. I know the fate of my post, we all will get busy to get our post noted or express our opinion which will definitely solve our problem or proving our point the that "i am right you are wrong" or get busy with "my ideas are better than yours" or "who wins the quote slamming contest".
We have simply lost our fous of our main problem . I think we deserve this perhaps I think if we continue like this we dont even deserve GCs.[/QUOTE]
There is nothing change in the next bulletin. What you saw from the last couple of bulletins "Unavailable". That should be happened with in few months. This is my opinion. I am not blaming any body. This is the real situation going on from the last couple of years bulletins.

to create forum like this and get people who complains about India and slowly work on fixing it one by one. Hope our kids get to enjoy without (or with very less) complaints.
PS: If I want to fix anything, 1st I would work on fixing the education system. My kids will start screaming (bcs of bad experience they had) the moment I say "You will be moved to India school shortly".
I am from Hyderabad, l left that city in 1999 to do my MS, got my MS, switched a couple of jobs as i thought career growth / job satisfaction was more important than filing a GC, finally my present company filed my GC in 2009 (PD 2009), I am fed up of this laborious process, not everyone can take it, and I am one of them, and as I get older, I am getting more conservative and I find it difficult to adjust here. I am visiting India this year, if everything works out, I will be heading back, even with all the complaints about India, it still is my country of birth, and there is a saying, "Janani Janma bhoomishya swargadapi gariyasi", translated, Mother and motherland are superior to the Heaven.

Our I-140 was approved by TSC RN 08/16/06 approved 08/24/06 under regular processing, but we sent 485 package to NSC due to where we live. Received 07/05/07. I was told to call after 30 days, which I did yesterday. I was told a new memo had gone out 08/08/07 internally to each service center stating that all customers should be adviced that let 90 days pass before calling service centers to get receipt numbers. The backlog for data entry was so great that it will take that long before it is all cleared. If you have not received a RN by 90 days then please call back and your case will be dealt with then. He also adviced that as the 90 days approaches, if no RN has been sent to us then make appointment at field office for EAD etc. I did mention that there was no such memo on their website and processing dates showed 07/11/07 for 485. No answer to this. So we wait and see what happens. I can only tell you what I have been told. He did comment on countries with high volumes of visas, "they will be waiting for 10 years plus for actual GC's under the system we have in place right now." Things change everyday, so keep the faith!
