Applying to a top MBA program is quite intense, especially if you come from a competitive applicant pool. eg: laid off investment banker (plenty of those headed to B-school), Indian-engineer, Chinese-anything, etc. Are you sure you want to go through the effort and expense of the application process if you cannot attend? It takes about 3-4 weeks to put a serious application package together - maybe you can put this time to better use by applying to a program that you can actually attend. That can also be a plan-B in case something goes wrong with the GC application.

No questions asked about visa or 485. Just had to show my passport and AP document :)
Thanks for the response. My wife has started working on EAD. So when she comes back, will she have to enter on AP? And as you said, they would not ask for I-485 receipts...Correct? I don't have I-485 receipts and I am just scared that if they ask for it, and I don't have it, then what happens...

To port from EB3 to EB2, you will need an approved EB2 labor.
You can't just randomly convert your EB3 to EB2 just because you are more qualified, etc. Besides the category, Eb1,2,3 is determined by the job requirements, not your qualification. So you could be a PhD from MIT, but if the job requires only a Bachelor's for example, you can't do an Eb2.
So in your case, your new employer C would need to file for a new labor in EB2 and then do the 140 after labor approval.
I'm not a 100% sure if you can do the porting while filing the new 140 or only after its approval. For that you might need to confirm with an attorney consult.
My advice - spend the 100/200 bucks and get a 1 hour consult with a reputed attorney or the attorney that employer C works with.

Can you please update, if you used a standard 2*2 passport taken here in the applicaiton form or got one 3.5 cm * 3.5 cm as put in the passport form. If yes, where did you took one. The standard size Passport Photo appears to be a little bigger than the one specified in the Passport application.
I used standard 2x2. Its mentioned at their website too.

Obviously you have benefitted already from what's happened. Think about people who are stuck (just as you were up until recently) and want to 'try' to make things work for them too....
wish people were more understanding of others also. Why is it people forget what it was like for them when they were in same boat?
That's exactly what I'm saying. Flowers campaign has run its course and it's not going to benefit anymore. We need to come up with fresh ideas.

Family based, majority (90%) is done by consular processing. AOS mostly for EB based. Petition for relatives is from the mother country, who is not present in USA for AOS. Yes - I agree with andy garcia

Just put in my year.
When you sign for membership, there is a question you answer about EB category and PD, so I guess all 8600+ members have that. I mean we already have the information and most of the members seem to be in S/W.
Is there anyway we can use this information thats in out database already, to come up with numbers? I assume that it should be do-able, however I am practically ignorant when it comes to computers. I mean I can use word and surf on the net, but thats it, but among all the experts we have here, maybe someone can work something out.

Here in Europe the biggest problem is ATMs that has been modified. The most simple modification is a simple loop inserted into the slot that tries to fool its victims into believing the machine ate their card. In addition a helpful person will appear and tell the victim that there's a secret code to be keyed in (999 + personal pin code) to make the machine spit out the card again...
Then they upped the stakes a bit. Today's con-person installs a small card reader at the ATM's slot. In addition there's a small camera (here's the relevant bit) that take pictures as people enter their code. This has been used and such equipment has even been recovered in atleast one case.
As for someone looking over your shoulder in the store, and perhaps even snapping a picture of it... Well, lets just say you don't want to leave your card out of sight. Don't assume your card is worthless plastic in someone else's hands.
We card users are basically using yesterday's (actually: last decade's/century's) technology to access our money while the countless villains out there are armed with today's technology. We're sitting ducks.
The card companies are reluctant to tell us this, but eventually as they roll out new technology (smart cards with bio-signatures) it will become blatantly apparent to everyone. Here in Norway they're scheduled to do this over the next year I think.

she got license valid only till mar 2011.
less than 6 months for $48.
she sent an email to customer service and this is the reply she got
If you have a pending I-485 filed under derivative status of your husband you must be included in his I-140 petition. Is there some paperwork you filed to have you added under his I-140 after you married him? If not other option is to show that you have applied to extend your H4 status after march 2011 eg. I-539. You can get a driver license (if you have not already got one) till your current I94 is valid and then when you apply for an extension you can show the receipt notice and renew for a year or show us a valid EAD card.

Folks, the key is here to articulate the interests and educate lawmakers on why amelioration and terminal relief is required. Walking out of workplaces does not reflect the value that legal immigrants bring to the economy. What's needed is a pithy powerful message on why it is important to support those who are in the legal line for immigrating to the USA> We dont seek it as an entitlement, nor do we seek social promotion. Canada requires 3yrs plus one year of training in US and then you need to take one exam for Canada and that's it. If she is doing IM or FP residency then she should try to get into one year of Chief residency as well after completing 3 yrs of residency.
Canada has a severe shortage of doctors specially in rural areas but not in the cities like Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa, Calgary, Windsor, or London. IT jobs are very scarce in Canada but are only in big cities. So, one of the two of you has got to sit at home depending on who decides to work.
